Ever felt the need for an operating system upgrade, this is a common appearance and most of us choose the simplest way to do this, upgrading the system straight from the auto update feature of the Operating system. This might not be the best thing to do which leaves another option for you which is more tedious or painful, doing a complete format and then install everything all over again including your operating system and other programs that you use. It is truly painful but here’s why this is better, should you decide to have your computer for use as a dedicated video editing machine you will need a system with the smallest amount of overhead load running in the background as possible.
Many of us who have been using our computers for a couple of years may argue that it has been running smoothly then why fiddle with it. As Windows grows in size with the frequent program installs and un-installs, it tends to leave some trace of itself that swells the registry to quite a large size it takes forever to load causing frequent data errors and more. So should you feel the urge to install the latest video editing software for your new and shiny video camera, try to do a clean install so you get the most performance that would help a lot in the long run.
