When a single scene is recorded from different angles at the same time, this is called a multicamera shot. In order to create a single seamless video from the sequences of shots, one has to learn the art of multicamera editing.

This technique is commonly used in soap opera television shows, reality television, and movies. It creates a sense of being completely involved in the scene the audience is watching. But in order for this technique to be used, multiple cameras have to have an organized and synchronized time code for easy editing. This also applies to sound.

Remember that when doing a multicamera shot, all the cameras should have the same image dimensions and frame rate. Otherwise multicamera editing will be a nightmare.
