.theCamcorder and VCR Video Editing*

You want to edit out unnecessary video recording? Robert Silva’s basic procedure on video editing by just simply using your camcorder and your VCR can help you out.

The first thing to do here is hook up your camcorder into your VCR by connecting it to the VCR’s AV jacks. Switch your VCR on and then set the input select on the VCR to AV Input or Line.

Second, turn on your television and your camcorder.

Third, place your camcorder tape into the camcorder and play it. Set up the camcorder’s counter display so the tape time will be visible on you television screen.

Fourth, find a piece of paper and pen. You will use these to write down the times of sections you want to include in your tape and sections you want, this time, to remove from your tape. Reminder: this may take quite a few times; take not of the visual clues and as well as the time).

Fifth, wind back the camcorder tape back to the start of your recording.

Sixth, place a new or blank tape into your VCR.

Seventh, indicate your camcorder in the play/pause mode where you want to start.

Eight. This time, prompt your VCR in the record/pause mode where you want to initiate the editing.

Ninth, to commence the editing process, press the record/pause button on your VCR.

Tenth, after initiating the record/pause button on your VCR, press the play/pause button on your camcorder to begin recording you first part on your VCR.

Eleventh, press record/pause on your VCR once a segment of your recording has been accomplished.

Twelfth, fast forward your camcorder tape into the next part you want to include in your recording. Make sure your VCR is paused.

Thirteenth, just repeat from the seventh phase to the twelfth until you have completed your video record.

Second to the last, rewind your camcorder tape, take out the tape from the camcorder and shut it off.

Last but not least, rewind the edited VCR tape, play and watch it. Take pleasure in viewing your creation!
